Acest album a iesit la 6 ani distanta de la ultimul album Cypress Hill Till Death Do Us Part. Ca de obicei de productie s-a ocupat Dj Muggs, dar si B-Real, Mike Shinoda de la Linkin Park, Jim Jonsin, Pete Rock si DJ Khalil. Invitati pe album sunt Daron Malakian de la System of a Down, Pitbull, Everlast, Evidence, Young De, Tom Morello de la Rage Against the Machine si Audioslave si Marc Anthony. Pe album trebuiau sa apara si Ill Bill, Apathy, DJ Premier si Slash. Speram ca aceste piese care nu au fost terminate in timp sa fie disponibile in curand.
Pe data de 28 aprilie, la doar o saptamana de la lansare, albumul “Rise up” a urcat direct pe locul 19 in topul Bilboard 200, vanzand 18 000 de copii. Pana in momentul de fata s-au vandut circa 25000 albume.
