(ELADIO) Wassup C-Lance? Welcome to www.hiphopdinromania.org ! How this wole producing thing started?
(C-LANCE) Really just out of being bored in college, and listening to Stoupe's work from Jedi Mind Tricks. I started messing around with samples and drums, and here we are
(ELADIO) What tools you used to use in the beginning and what about now?
(C-LANCE) Basically the same stuff, although at first I started with just a laptop and FL studio. Now I have a Yamaha Keyboard that I use for playing keys and chopping up samples.
(ELADIO) You are from Boston. You got some dope rapper up in there. What do you think about the rap game in the city right now?
(C-LANCE) Boston, yeah, it's dope for rappers. Slaine & Esoteric are the big dogs, they got a lot of fans across the world.
(ELADIO) In 2010 you joined Enemy Soil. How that happened?
(C-LANCE) I submitted beats to Doap Nixon of AOTP and he played some of my beats for Paz, then Vinnie reached out to me one day saying he was working on his solo album, we been working together ever since, this was in 2010.
(ELADIO) Recently you produced for Vinnie and Serial Killers. That's some dope underground raw shit. How do you see the underground movement and what's your point of view about this? What about the commercial music?
(C-LANCE) Underground movement is real strong right now, the guys I work with release at least 2 albums a year, which is amazing for the fans. Commercial music is doing well too. The new Eminem album is incredible.
(C-LANCE) Eminem, Prodigy, Alchemist.
(ELADIO) What do you think about the European hip hop?
(C-LANCE) Haven't really listened to much Europe hip hop, but I know the culture is strong there, I always hear guys say when they do shows over in Europe it's much more crazy than in the states.
(ELADIO) What’s sure is you work on something new everyday, but in what projects are you involved now?
(C-LANCE) New AOTP albums, HMK 2, Vinnie Paz Solo, & Madchild/Swollen Members albums.
