(ELADIO) Let's see, is the 5th interview for my blog, but the 1st time with you. Every year there was more and more and more music. How was 2013?

(DET – Snowgoons) excellent and very exciting. we were making big moves. black snow 2 dropped just a couple of weeks ago in december, and it is a huge success as far as we can overlook all the sale platforms for right now. we finally are on our own. i mean, we were always able to release pretty much everything we recorded even with babygrande but to go independent with our own label was defintely the right move. should have done this earlier, but all good. no regrets.

(ELADIO) What's the 1st thing that the new listener gotta know when he wanna try to hear the Snowgoons music or hip-hop?

(DET – Snowgoons) well, a first-time-listener should just be open for new sounds. if he is a hiphop fan, he should open his mind for the not so commercial sounds of hip hop, because this is just what we deliver. and we deliver for a decade now what we and the fans call "true hiphop". thats why we have songs named like "the real and the raw". plus, and this is very important so i point this out, we are no rappers. Snowgoons are producers. we produce beatz. people constantly hit us up telling us in emails how good we rap or flow... so a new listener should defintely be aware of the fact that the Snowgoons are a producer crew, and only Sicknature is an MC and a producer.

(ELADIO) No commercial music and we all know that, but what is for you the definition for underground and the definition for commercial music?

(DET – Snowgoons) dont know. its not our task to give us a category. fans and critics do this. and they labeled us underground so we good. is it because of the sales? dont know, underground can sell a lot of units, too. is it because its coming from the heart and more meaningful? hmm, dont know. is it because of a certain sound, and if 'yes', what is considered being underground? grimy, dirty sounds? maybe. but not very likely. sampling? dont know. kanye samples, too. and he is definitely not an underground artist. maybe its the right mix of all the above, but i am sure that there has to be a certain recipe. well, whatever it is, a hip hop listener will "feel" if its right or not. its really all in the eye of the beholder.

(ELADIO) Name some top 20 Billboard rapper that you will work with.

(DET – Snowgoons) nas 20x (laugh)

(ELADIO) So what's next? What projects do you have for the next 2 months and for 2014?

(DET – Snowgoons) right now, we are organizing ourselves, getting things ready for 2014 and 2015. so many projects we will be working on. most definitely, the Onyx album will be a big thing, giving us the opportunity to work with some new york legends again (just like MOP). this one is going to be h u g e, believe that! nuthing but in ya face bangers. hard body shit.

(ELADIO) What tools do you work with?

(DET – Snowgoons) live drums, keyboards, logic program, all apple laptops and imacs.

(ELADIO) Any tour dates for the future?

(DET – Snowgoons) next up will be the snowgoons/ demigodz tour in april, all across Europe.
