"U.S.A. (Aiight Then)" is the third and final single from Mobb Deep's Murda Muzik album. The b-side features the song "Spread Love". The song was originally titled "Street Kingz" and featured a short verse by fellow rapper Nas.Mobb Deep ft. Nas - USA Aight Then (Unreleased)
Mobb Deep - It's Mine
"It's Mine" is the second single from Mobb Deep's 1999 album Murda Muzik and features Nas.The song's instrumental is based on a sample of the title theme of the 1983 film Scarface (credited as "Scarface Cues") which was composed by Giorgio Moroder. This is the second time that Mobb Deep used music from the film for one of their singles, with the first being "G.O.D. Pt. III".
The chorus of the song is also both a lyrical and instrumental interpolation of the 1998 song by female R&B singers Brandy and Monica, "The Boy Is Mine". The original Brandy and Monica lyrics were "You need to give it up/Had about enough/It's not hard to see/The boy is mine". Where the chorus in "It's Mine" (sung by Nas) goes "Y'all need to give it up/We don't give a fuck/What y'all niggas want/Thug life is mine".
The video was directed by Hype Williams.
Mobb Deep - Quiet Storm
"Quiet Storm" is the first single from Mobb Deep's fourth album Murda Muzik. It was originally released on the soundtrack for the film In Too Deep. The song features a sample of the bass line from the classic hip-hop song "White Lines (Don't Do It)" by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. It also features a sample from Smokey Robinson's "A Quiet Storm". The song is widely thought to be one of Mobb Deep's greatest songs. In 2001, R&B group 112 used an updated version of the "Quiet Storm" beat for their number one single, It's Over Now.A remix featuring Lil' Kim titled "Quiet Storm (Remix)" was released as the album's second single. The remix also became very popular and is noted to be one of Lil' Kim's most memorable guest appearances. Though many believed Kim was dissing Foxy Brown in her verse, it was actually directed towards Charli Baltimore.
