King Magnetic is a prominent, independent
hip-hop artist & producer from Allentown and Philadelphia, PA. Aside
from being a solo artist, Magnetic is a member of the hip-hop
collective, Army of the Pharaohs. He has worked with the likes of
Portishead's Geoff Barrow, Atmosphere's Slug, Immortal Technique, Wu
Tang Clan's Cappadonna, Jedi Mind Tricks, Chino XL, Edo G, DJ
Revolution, and MANY MORE. His "Everything's A Gamble" mix tape series,
is a precursor to his official debut album and has allowed him to tour
the US and Europe extensively.
"Timing Is Everything" takes you
to a time when hip-hop artists' rapped about struggles and triumphs that
they personally experienced...if your lyrics and presence weren't
up-to-par you got kicked off stage, the street corner or even punched in
the face. Recorded at 9th Wonder's Bright Lady Studios in North
Carolina, the album has a classic 90's boom-bap feel without sounding
dated. Fueled by street tales and production from Marco Polo, 9th
Wonder, DJ Premier, Astronote, Amp and others, the legendary Peter
Humphreys provides a warm yet crisp sound scape that keeps the listener
wanting more. With a total of 19 songs, Magnetic only calls on Jadakiss,
Rapsody, Reef the Lost Cauze and GQ to lend verses on 3 of the tracks.
Smif N Wessun, Big Shug, SID of Slipknot and Block McCloud help out a
few hooks to round out the line up. It's been a long time since you
