N.W.A. and the Posse a fost lansat în data de 6 noiembrie 1987 prin Macola Records și re-lansat în data de 13 noiembrie 1989 prin Ruthless Records. Coperta este aceeași folosită și pentru single-ul Panic Zone pe ea fiind prezenți: DJ Train, Sir Jinx; Middle: MC Chip, MC Ren, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, K-Dee, Ice Cube, Arabian Prince, DJ Scratch; Bottom: Krazy Dee, Candyman.
