The New Danger este cel de-al 2-lea album solo al lui Mos Def și a fost lansat în data de 12 octombrie 2004, prin Rawkus & Geffen Records.
De producția albumului s-au ocupat însuși Mos Def, Kanye West, 88-Keys, Minnesota, Warryn Campbell și Psycho Les și conține și contribuții din partea trupei rock Black Jack Johnson, un proiect muzical de-al lui Mos Def care își inspiră numele din Jack Johnson, un campion de box din anii '10 (1910...). Trupa este compusă din chitaristul Dr. Know, Bernie Worrell la clape, basistul Doug Wimbish și basistul Will Calhoun.
Albumul a debutat pe locul 5 în Billboard 200 cu 513 000 unități vândute până în martie 2014.
