2011, Kendrick Lamar apare pe albumul lui Drake, Take Care.
În timp ce Drake încerca să dovedească faptul că Thank Me Later nu a fost un miracol, iar Kendrick era o voce nouă dar destul de necunoscută cu Section8.0, decide să îi acorde un spațiu pe interludiul Buried Alive.
2012, în februarie, Drake îl invită pe Kendrick să cânte în deschidere la turneul Club Paradise. Pe piesa 4PM in Calabasas a explicat motivul: “When they told me take an R&B ni–a on the road/ And I told ’em no and drew for Kendrick and Rocky.”
2012, octombrie, Asap Rocky îi invită pe Drake și Kendrick (printre alții) pe piesa Fuckin Problems. Cei din urmă colaborează și pe albumul lui Kendrick Lamar, pe piesa Poetic Justice, fiind și ultima colaborare dintre cei 2.
2013, august, Kendrick decide să se ia de toată industria pe piesa lui Big Dean, Control: “I got love for you all, but I’m trying to murder you n—as/ Trying to make sure your core fans never heard of you n—as/ They don’t want to hear not one more noun or verb from you ni–as,”.
Răspunsul lui Drake a venit prin revista Billboard după ce a apărut pe copertă: “I didn’t really have anything to say about it. It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That’s all it was. I know good and well that [Lamar] ‘s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.”
În octombrie, la BET awards, în cadrul unui cypher pe instrumentalul Shook Ones, Lamar insistă: “Nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control’/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/ Ha ha joke’s on you, high-five… I’m bulletproof/ Your shoots never penetrates/ Pin the tail on the donkey, boy you been a fake.”
În decembrie, de data asta prin revista Vibe, unde apare pe copertă, Drake explică piesa The Language: “Where it became an issue is that I was rolling out an album while that verse was still bubbling, so my album rollout became about this thing. What am I supposed to say? Nah, we’ll be buddy-buddy? Mind you, I never once said he’s a bad guy [or] I don’t like him. 2015-2016 a fost cu subtilități. Kendrick pe Big Kunta spunea: “I can dig rapping/ But a rapper with a ghost writer? What the f–k happened?” în timp ce Drake apărea pe piesa lui Game, 100: “I would have all of your fans/ If I didn’t go pop and I stayed on some conscious s–t.”
Pe albumul lui Dr. Dre, Compton, Kendrick spunea: “They liable to bury him, they nominated six to carry him/ They worry him to death, but he’s no vegetarian/ The beef is on his breath, inheriting the drama better than / A great white, n—a, this is life in my aquarium.”
2023, Drake face din nou istorie. Piesa cu J Cole First Person Shooter intră pe locul 1, fiind prima piesă a lor pe locul 1, de asemenea prima piesă a lui Cole pe locul 1. Aici Cole nu a ezitat: “Love when they argue the hardest MC/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/ We the big three like we started a league/ but right now, I feel like Muhammad Ali.”
2024, iată-ne în prezent unde vine și răspunsul lui Kendrick la piesa First Person Shooter. Future și Metro Boomin lansează albumul We Don’t Like You, iar pe piesa Like That, Kendrick răspunde: “F–k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter/ I hope they came with three switches, // “Motherf–k” the big three, n—a, it’s just big me.” // “For all your dogs gettin’ buried/ That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary.”.
Drake continuă să răspundă din nou în turneu, iar în Florida zice: “A lot of people asking me how I’m feeling. “I’mma let you know how I’m feeling. Listen, the way I’m feeling is the same way I want you to walk out of here feeling tonight about your f–king self.”

Pe 24 aprilie lansează o nouă piesă. Pe Taylor Made Freestyle decide să se folosească de AI, iar prin inteligență artificială apar 2pac și Snoop pe piesă. Alegere nu tocmai inspirată, fiind amenințat cu un proces de legalii lui 2pac.
În data de 30 aprilie Kendrick lansează Euphoria, unde din nou îi răspunde și lui J Cole: Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I’m a selfish n–a/ The crown is heavy, huh/ I pray they my real friends, if not, I’m YNW Melly/ I don’t like you poppin s–t at Pharrell, for him I’ll inherit the beef/ F–k all that pushin p, let me see you Pusha T, you better off spinning again on him you think about pushing me/He’s Terrence Thorton I’m Terence Crawford I’m whooping feet,”
3 zile mai târziu, în data de 3 mai lansează încă un diss. 6:16 in LA e încă un masacru la adresa lui Drake: “Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me?/ Fake bully, I hate bullies/ You must be a terrible person/ Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it/Can’t Toosie Slide up out of this one, it’s just gon’ resurface.” Sau: “100 n—as that you got on salary/ and 20 of them want you as a casualty/ and one of them is actually/ is next to you / and two of them is practically tied to your lifestyle,”.
