Warren Griffin III sau mai pe scurt Warren G s-a născut în data de 10 noiembrie 1970 în Long Beach, California. Este fratele vitreg al lui Dr. Dre și membru al trupei 213 din care făcea parte și Nate Dogg (19 august 1969 – 15 martie 2011) și Snoop Dogg.
Regulate...G Funk Era este albumul de debut al lui Warren G și a fost lansat în data de 7 iunie 1994 prin Violator și distribuit prin Def Jam. A fost cel mai de succes album al său, a debutat pe locul 2 în topul Billboard 200 vânzând 176 000 de copii în prima săptămână. Piesele “This D.J.” și “Regulate” au fost nominalizate la premiile Grammy. În SUA, albumul s-a vândut în peste 3 milioane de unități fiind certificat cu 3 discuri de platină.
