De productia melodiilor s-au ocupat RZA, Allah Mathematics, Scram Jones, Emile, Ty Fyffe, BT si Digem Tracks Productions. A fost lansat pe data de 30 martie 2010 prin Def Jam Recordings. Albumu a fost anuntat de Method Man la Mtv News in iulie 2009. Numele albumului inainte de lansare se schimbase in Three the Hard Way, dar dupa ce au fost gata copertile au decis sa se intoarce la numele initial (si cel final),Wu-Massacre.
Copertile au fost create de Chris Bachalo de la Marvel Comics. Sunt si 3 variante (colectors edition) de coperta cu fiecare membru in parte:
